Quinoa porridge is a great alternative to standard porridge, it’s gluten free, low GI, packed full of protein, vitamins and minerals. Whats more, it is super quick and easy to whip up for breakfast and warming in the cold winter mornings.
Quinoa Porridge with Honey, Banana & Walnuts
1/2 cup organic quinoa flakes
1 cup boiled water
A dash of almond milk (or any other nut milk)
A handful of walnuts
1. In a small saucepan combine quinoa flakes and water. Stir whilst simmering for about 5 minutes, until it is a porridge consistency. Remove from heat.
2. Add a almond milk and mix in to give a creamy hint and put into a bowl. Slice banana and put on top of porridge. Drizzle over raw honey, sprinkle cinnamon and crush walnuts over the top.
3. Enjoy whilst warm!
