It can be all too easy to forget how fragile and short life really is, we can tend to blow little things out of proportion and often forget what is truly important in life. I had a bit of an epiphany about a year ago when I realised what it meant to just live in the moment...We seem to spend our lives planning our futures, looking forward or back and saying “I will be happy when I am thin/healthy/rich/have my dream job/partner/house/holiday”, the list is endless. But all of that means we don’t appreciate what we have in the present moment, you probably have lots of things you didn’t have last week, last month or last year. To be truly happy doesn’t mean to finally reach a milestone in life, it means to be happy in every moment of every day and just accept that moment for what it is. You might not be have everything that you want or be completely satisfied with your life, but you can choose to be happy and to live in the moment. And so back to the theme of this post, life is too short to…
- Life is too short to be sad.
- Life is too short to have regrets.
- Life is to short to look back.
- Life is too short to be negative.
- Life is too short to be unkind.
- Life is too short to be ungrateful.
- Life is too short not to love with all your heart.
There are of course many more, but always remember that life is and always will be a gift to be cherished.
How do you finish this sentence: Life is too short to…
Keep happy, Erica xx
